Jan Čenský studied at the music and drama conservatory and received a number of opportunities to perform in front of a film and television camera already during his studies. After completing his studies at the conservatory, he became a member of the Theatre Pod Palmovkou, he appeared as a guest at the National Theatre and in 1990 he became a member of the black light Theatre Ta Fantastika, with which he travelled almost all around the world. This important interpreter of several roles of princes and kings also achieved success as a presenter. Besides events for children, social events and television programmes he also presents prestigious beauty contests with Miss Czech Republic being one of the most important ones. He likes to share his experience from acting and presenting with others. For a number of years he has been teaching acting, rhetoric, presentation and improvisation skills for managers in the field of finance.
The Prague Philharmonia Wind Quintet was founded in 2007 at the instance of the soloists of the wind section of the PKF – Prague Philharmonia orchestra. The members of the ensemble are laureates of national and international interpretation competitions. They are also active as leading players in many other chamber and symphony ensembles (Czech Philharmonic, Prague Symphony Orchestra FOK, National Theatre, Baborák Ensemble, Czech Sinfonietta etc.). The quintet was brought to public notice not only thanks to its regular concerts on Czech concert stages, but also thanks to its recordings of the compositions by Czech composers of the 20th century for the Czech Radio in cooperation with Czech Television. From the very beginning of its existence the ensemble started cooperating closely with outstanding pianist Prof. Ivan Klánský and they have performed together at many concerts for both Czech and foreign organizers. In 2016 the combined project of French poetry and music with excellent Czech actor Jan Čenský gained very favourable response.
