Film music in the Brewery Garden

The project “Film music: Ennio Morricone and Luboš Fišer” was presented in the Brewery Garden on Thursday 21st July.

A thousand viewers enjoyed the concert by the Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic Orchestra under the leadership of Stanislav Vavřínek with soloists Patricia Janečková and Taťána Roskovcová, who presented the project “Film music: Ennio Morricone and Luboš Fišer” in the Brewery Garden on Thursday 21st July. The film melodies of two distinctive composers were also sung by the Canticum Camerale choir. “We have performed this program for the third time, therefore the musicians were on top of things and hopefully also because of this it was an experience for the viewers. The audience in Český Krumlov had the opportunity to see the last performance of this project because due to copyright we were able to perform it only three times,” conductor Stanislav Vavřínek said after the concert. During the afternoon and evening there were several storms nearby, however, miraculously they avoided Český Krumlov. The threat of bad weather only made itself known by a mild breeze, almost in film style, which ruffled the soloists’ hair and raised their dresses. After the concert both singers and the conductor met up with the members of the IMF Český Krumlov Friends Club. The pleasant evening ended in a friendly atmosphere as the artists spoke about their impressions from the concert and answered numerous questions of their festival fans. The president of the festival Jaromír Boháč and the director of the Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic Orchestra Josef Němý also made an appearance. The evening was presented by Jiří Vejvoda.
