The International Music Festival Český Krumlov 2016 started on Friday 15^th July with the festival prologue Vivat festival!, a musical-visual fantasy on the occasion of the 25^th jubilee of the IMF, which took place on the southern castle terraces. The inhabitants and visitors to Český Krumlov received this tribute both to the town and the festival as a present because admission was free. The numerous audience on the opposite bank and the bridges watched baroque fireworks as well as real and fantastical images projected onto the castle walls or the water mist on the terraces, accompanied by music which was played at the concerts of the IMF Český Krumlov in the past. Photographs of the most famous stars of the festival headed by one of the “three tenors” Plácido Domingo also appeared in the mist.
