The first person to speak during the final toast was the first minister of industry and trade Jan Mládek, “I would like to thank all the organizers and partners for making such a great festival possible in Český Krumlov and congratulate the town of Český Krumlov and the South Bohemian Region on organizing an event which significantly surpasses this region as well as the Czech Republic. At the same time I would like to say that it is a challenge for Český Krumlov and for the South Bohemian Region to ensure the successful continuation of the festival in the years to come. And it is obviously a challenge also for the government to provide sufficient support and make it possible for many more years of the festival to be held.”
A regular guest of the festival, former president Václav Klaus, also spoke, “I would like to thank you for the opportunity to be at this festival once again as well as at today’s beautiful concert. All those involved in making also this year a success should be thanked.” The protagonists of the closing concert also accepted the invitation to the final toast – conductor Leoš Svárovský and the soloists of the Grand Theatre in Moscow. Soprano Makvala Kasrashvili, who is also the director of opera at the Grand Theatre, spoke on their behalf, “I would like to thank all the organizers and all those who – such as the Russian Centre of Science and Culture in Prague – supported today’s concert. We are glad that we got the opportunity to appear in such a beautiful town as Český Krumlov. We would like to thank the conductor Leoš Svárovský, the great orchestra which accompanied us tonight and also the audience for their warm reception.”
Gary Mazzotti, member of the board of the general partner of IMF ČK, Kooperativa insurance company, spoke on behalf of the partners of the festival, “Today we are bidding farewell to another very successful year of this festival in the beautiful town of Český Krumlov. During five weeks seventeen concerts took place, we had the opportunity to appreciate beautiful music. We do not live in an easy period of time and music is such a kind of art which surpasses borders and offers a universal language. Music connects generations and different cultures. All the artists who have performed here are proof of this. Therefore it is an honour for me to thank all those who made this festival possible on behalf of the general partner of the festival, Kooperativa insurance company. We would like to thank the financial partners and sponsors without whom the festival would not be possible. We would also like to thank the organizing team which planned and implemented everything perfectly, often in spite of the weather. We thank the interpreters for the art which they performed. And last but not least a big thank you goes to Český Krumlov for the environment it offers. But most of all I would like to thank you, the audience, because without you the festival would not have any sense. See you at this festival in 2015!”
