The concert program of Radka Fišarová’s concert in chamber style titled Rendez-vous was dedicated above all to French chanson. Another concert was added due to the great interest of the viewers. “The fact that we were asked to add another concert by the organizers was very pleasant for us. And it is actually a very pleasant thing that the adverse weather, because of which the second concert was moved from the Kooperativa Garden to the Castle Riding Hall due to the rain, gave us the opportunity to try and perform on two festival stages. And so we enjoyed two completely different and very beautiful venues and atmospheres. Therefore we are taking a double load of impressions home with us,” said Radka Fišarová, who performed together with accordionist Aliksandr Yasinski and the Jazz 4 band. “Český Krumlov is close to my heart. In the past I performed here for several seasons as Kate in the performance Finian’s Rainbow at the Revolving Auditorium. Of course I was aware of the International Music Festival Český Krumlov already at the time but I never visited it as a viewer. Therefore this year’s invitation to the festival was a great honour for me.” Fišarová sang famous songs from the repertoire of chanson singer Edith Piaf; she opened the evening with the immortal “Non, je ne regrette rien”, but she also sang famous and less famous compositions, for example,

by Charles Aznavour, Jacques Brel, Mireille Mathieu, poems by Jacques Prévert set to music as well as several instrumental melodies from popular French films – Animal, 8 Women and The Gendarme of St. Tropez. Chanson really got under Radka Fišarová’s skin, “They are songs about life. They describe what everyone can experience.” The singer’s own author works were also part of the concert and according to the reactions of the audience, were greatly enjoyed. The musicians adapted the program slightly to each of the two venues, “Some compositions don’t really sound perfect under the open skies, while others are more suitable for a covered hall. In the end around one third of the program was different.” During the first evening under the open skies Radka Fišarová bid farewell to the Český Krumlov audience with her own composition “Snadný cíl”, while at the riding hall the encore was Gounod’s famous Ave Maria.
