The opera gala concert will present world-famous opera singers who have performed at the Metropolitan Opera and on many other prestigious stages. Piotr Beczała belongs to the most sought-after lyric tenors of the present time. This artist is respected not only because of his beautiful voice but also for his passion with which he is able to incarnate in the characters that he represents. Canadian-American soprano with Czech roots Sondra Radvanovsky is considered to be one of the best Verdi singers of the present time and at the same time one of the best interpreters of bel canto. The emotionality with which she interprets her roles, the exceptionally beautiful timber of her voice as well as faultless technique make each of her performances an unforgettable experience. And what did they prepare for their concert in Český Krumlov? “With Sondra we put together a very beautiful and ambitious program for the opera gala concert and the audience, as well as the two of us, will certainly experience a wonderful evening,” says Piotr Beczała. The first half of the concert with the accompaniment of the PKF – Prague Philharmonia under the baton of Leoš Svárovský will consist of works by Puccini and Verdi, in the second half the audience will hear French opera and arias from Dvořák’s Rusalka and the entire evening will culminate with famous melodies written by Franz Lehár.
