Successful Czech bass-baritone Adam Plachetka made his debut in the National Theatre in Prague in 2005 and also performed at the State Opera. Since 2010 he has been excelling as a soloist of the Vienna State Opera, where he has performed roles such as Don Giovanni, Figaro, and Melisso in Händel’s Alcina. Besides his permanent engagement at the Vienna State Opera he has also performed at other important opera houses such as Opéra de Nice, Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich, and Opéra Royal de Versailles and at prestigious music festivals in Salzburg, Glyndebourne and others. He specializes in Mozart’s and Händel’s work, last year his album with arias from Händel’s oratorios was released. He also gives concerts with many Czech orchestras and dedicates himself to baroque music. Adam Plachetka will perform in a program composed of arias by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, George Friedrich Händel, and Gioacchino Rossini. He will be accompanied by Talich Philharmonia Prague conducted by Tomáš Brauner.
