Four excellent trumpeters will be accompanied by the legendary Gustav Brom Big Band. This orchestra was founded by Gustav Brom in 1940 and led by him for fifty-five years until his death in 1995. The band achieved world renown during its existence. According to American experts, the orchestra ranked among the top 10 big bands of the world in the 60s of the last century. The greatest stars of jazz and pop performed as guests with the band – Maynard Fergusson, Dizzy Gilespie, Dianna Ross & The Supremes, Ray Conniff and many others. Currently the orchestra performs under the artistic leadership of Vlado Valovič and has become the residential orchestra of the Czech Radio for 2013 and 2014. The soloists will be jazz trumpeters Jiří Hlava, Lukáš Oravec, Július Baroš, and Miroslav Hloucal.
