The Smetana Trio has been achieving success with its complete recording of the piano trio by Bohuslav Martinů since its release (Diapason d´Or, BBC Music Magazine Disc of the Month, Sunday Times Album of the Week). Now the recording has been selected among the three albums nominated for the BBC Music Magazine Award in the chamber music category. The Smetana Trio has already received this award in the past – in 2007 for the recording of Dvořák’s trios.
In Český Krumlov the Smetana Trio will play compositions by Czech authors.
